PHONE SYSTEMS

For more than 25 years, Datacom Inc. has been known for installing superlative telephone systems.

Recently, Panasonic North America announced End-Of-Life for their NS series of PBX's. Originally slated to stop production in January 1, 2023 we received our last cabinet 4 months ago. It is a wonderful telephone system and we installed many of them throughout the Mahoning Valley and surrounding area. We are happy to continue servicing them but know that with their consistency and durability, we don't forecast much in the way of that.

With that in mind, we have decided to begin carrying, installing, and servicing the Sangoma line of VoIP systems. After completion of sales and technical training, I will be very anxious to "Hit the ground running" with that product. More to follow soon.

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is fast becoming a requirement. Modern offices demand that employee's cell phones integrate with the company's phone system. As we searched for a new telephone system to carry, it became apparent that this is the trend that ALL of the systems are following. Our new Sangoma system seamlessly accomplishes this through your WiFi, (or your cell's carrier signal), and an App on the cellular device. Once enabled and programmed, the phone automatically connects with the server and becomes another extension on your system having access to all of your lines and voicemail - as well as transfer, hold, and park capabilities! Versatility, reliability, and ease of use; these are all offerings afforded to you with this unit as we tailor a system to suit your requirements - and your budget! We also continue to service the KX-TDA50 Hybrid PBX and KX-TVA 50, and TVA200, Voice Processing systems.

Many of today's business' prefer what is known as a "Hosted" telephone system. In this application, your PBX is replaced with a server located at the Provider's location off-site. You pay a monthly fee, and all of the features of a telephone system are delivered to your location via the internet, usually through a SIP connection. Your telephone lines are handled by the provider as well. The only thing physically at your location is the desk set you make calls with. Sometimes even this desk set is replaced with a "soft" phone which lives on your computer display with you using a headset and your keyboard and mouse to use.

You may also choose to use your cellular device in place of your desk set or soft phone. In this case all of the features of a multi-line system are available to use on your cell via an app on the device. The features arrive to your cell via either your office's Access Point when you're within range, or your cellular service when you leave the office. Luckily, Sangoma offers all of these features as well.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have or if you are interested in pursuing a quote for a new system.
